Gretchen is a character in Tales of the United Solar System Alliance. She is played by Janet Varney.
History[]
Gretchen is Gene Peeples' ex-wife, and the mother of Erica Peeples.
She voices the Analog Emergency System on USSA Starcrafts. She'd been interested in breaking into voiceover work, and Gene thought she had a nice voice, so he gave her name to the person in charge of finding the voice talent, Wiley.
According to Linda, Gretchen made Gene's life miserable for a long time. Gretchen and Gene are still in touch, but only because they both still have Erica in their lives.
At the end of the Orsino's self-destruct countdown, Gretchen's voice recording admits that although she hopes Gene will never hear the message, she never stopped loving him.
