Jason is an inccubus, and is played by Justin Kirk.
After falling in love with and proposing to Marcy, Jason attempted to turn his back on the inccubus lifestyle, as his didn't want to experience love with any other being. However, his father (Allen) was against this and the two had an argument, leading to Jason using his inccubus abilities to siphon energy from Frank and Sadie Doyle to try to prove himself to his father.
The Doyles were able to find another way for Jason and Marcy to get energy (food), giving them a way to live without having to use their inccubi and succubi powers.
